Product Introduction
The RED615 line differential protection and control device, as a phase-separated, two-end line differential protection and control device, can perfectly coordinate the overhead lines and cable feeders of public and industrial distribution networks. When there is an internal transformer in the protected feeder section, the RED615 can also be used for line differential applications.
The RED615 devices between substations communicate via a single optical fiber line or a pair of twisted conductors. The key feature of RED615 is its support for the IEC61850 communication standard for substations, covering both vertical and horizontal communication. It includes GOOSE messages with switch quantity signals and analog quantity signals, as well as setting adjustments based on IEC 61850-8-1.
The RED615 line differential protection and control device also supports Modbus®, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-103 protocols.
RED615 provides an optional Ethernet port for ring network self-healing communication.
